In December 2022, two of Tobian Language School’s dedicated teachers, Kevin and Tobias, embarked on a journey to Luang Prabang, Laos, where they had the privilege of visiting Big Brother Mouse School.
This inspiring experience allowed them to share their knowledge of language learning, engage with students in English conversation practice, and witness firsthand the transformative power of education.

Big Brother Mouse: A Game Changer for Education in Laos
Before Big Brother Mouse School existed, many children in Luang Prabang had little to no access to English books or resources. The school has since revolutionized education in the region, introducing an innovative language learning program and a series of books in English and other languages. These resources have become a vital bridge to new opportunities for the students.
Students like Vanhna now have dreams of opening hotels, working in national tourism, or studying abroad in countries like Australia—dreams made possible by their newfound English skills. This is a testament to how education can transform lives and unlock futures.

During their visit, Kevin and Tobias joined students in practicing English conversation. It was a joyful and productive session, with students eagerly improving their skills and gaining confidence in speaking.
At the end of the day, each student chose a book to take home—a simple yet powerful step in fostering independent learning and literacy.
